With the knowledge and feeling of our self today, we are putting forward tips for years to come. We often think that counseling is about passing wisdom from one elder to another, from one teacher to another, from one parent to another. The veteran guides the novice, the didactic process in nature. But what happens if the play turns, and we, as ourselves present, offer advice to an older and more worn out version of ourselves? Think of it as an exercise in pride, a way to preserve and protect what is important today and in the future. We asked members of the Wanderlust Media family to write letters to them. Here is what they had to say. Whatever you do right now, stop. Go outside. Call your parents (if you are lucky enough that they are both still there). Take a moment and have a good personal day. And do not dare - you do not feel guilty - to take the time for yourself. This year has been crazy. You have learned what love really means, the length of time that friendship can be tested (and lost), and she has become a yoga teacher.
